Categories widget

Hi All,

Can someone please explain me how this OOTB widgets 'SC Categories' and 'SC Category Page' works? How one click on the widget on the left fetches the catalog items and displays them on the right? Which part actually transfers the selected category and which part catches the info and displays them?

How do we find out which part is getting executed on the back. Please help me understand this to fix something similar.

Clicking on categories on the left except from the first attempt does not display the catalog items on the right. I can see the URL change as per the category I have clicked on the left side but the widget on the right side doesn't load the items.

How does it work first try and not on the next tries is what I am trying to fix.

that's an OOB one right?

Have you done any customization on it?

If not then it should work all the time

It is customized a bit, but I don't believe it was done on the part where we transfer data from widgets.
