Change of Suffic based on Catalog Category in Service Catalog.

Hi All , 

We have certain categories , under the employee center catalog , HR , IT etc , under each category there are catalog items , We want to change the suffix of the REQ , RITM , SCTASK numbers , i.e for HR it should be HRReq , HRRITM, HRSCTASK and for IT it should be ITREQ , ITRITM , ITSCTASK .

How can we acheive this requirement?

Also is it possible ?

Hello @Community Alums,

This is not possible with OOB solution (number maintenance).

You can create two more number fields and visible them based on your category. Hide your OOB number field, when you want to show case the custom number field.

fill your custom number field from BR with number incremental.

You can explore the Number Maintenance module for this but please remember this change should be done after careful consideration only.
