I needed some clarification on using Workflows or Flow Designer on the change request (normal) approval process or the full "flow chart" of it.
I have used previously only workflows with change requests. I have a "Rome" instance PDI that I am using for some development work. I can only see the Flows getting triggered with the change requests and unfortunately, those Flows are not allowing me to edit them. Do I have the option to disable "Flow from Flow designers" and only use Workflows for change requests?
Appreciate any clarifications around that.
Thank you

Are you wanting to use change models? If not, you can disable change models and use the workflow by setting this property "com.snc.change_management.change_model.hide" to true. I think that is what you are wanting.

Hi, please see doc page. You indeed cannot edit Flows as they are Read-Only, deactivating/copying/editing/publishing the flows with custom logic incorporated should help to move away from legacy workflows.

I want to use workflows but I am not sure if Servicenow is trying or pushing Flows more than the legacy workflows.
Is there a way I can disable Flows and continue using Workflows on change requests?
Thank you

Hi, exactly - ServiceNow encourage using Flows more than the legacy WorkFlows.
I would personally suggest to follow the path recommended by the vendor.

Thanks!
I will be happy to work with Flows too but in my case (PDI), I don't have the capability to edit those Change request Flows to fulfill my requirements. Not sure if it is the same case in the customer instance.

sorry, but what do you need exactly to start using flows? I provided instructions above how to edit them
