Change Request getting auto approved when planned start date is changed.

HI All,

Change request is getting auto approved and moving from assess state to scheduled state. In the change request, we had changing the planned start date so that the change type was also changing from 'Normal' to 'Expedite' , after 3-4 tries, the change got auto approved in both assess and authorize state and moved to scheduled state. Can anyone help in identifying the cause of this happening? Is this expected or OOB behavior?

This is Weird!! this is 100% not OOTB.

The change type cannot change just like that. Please check the underlying Business Rules running already.

We have BR for changing from normal to expedite based on start date. The change type is changing based on that. However, the issue is the approvals getting approved automatically, when the start date is being changed many times.

How many times can an approval action in the workflow restart before skipping the approval or auto approving?

 Please try deactivating the BR and test once, if it's getting auto approved.
