No possible mate, you can't downgrade the version without releasing it. Also please note wait time to get a new instance is 2-3week long. So keep the PDI till time the wait time get reduced.

Hi @panchalraji
ServiceNow Personal Developer Instances (PDIs) cannot be downgraded from a newer version (Australia) to an older one (Zurich).
To work with the Zurich version, you must first release your current instance and then request a fresh PDI, specifically selecting Zurich when prompted.

Hello @panchalraji ,
In short downgrading pdi not possible !
Also Note : I have recently seen an increased number of community posts regarding PDI waitlists. This suggests the issue may be related to ServiceNow's infrastructure capacity or instance availability on their side. In such cases, users must wait until additional resources become available and an instance is assigned.
So in case releasing the instance and requesting new one please take a note of this..
If my response helped mark as helpful and accept the solution.
