Choices not displayed on portal when using the field type 'lookup selectbox'

Hi all,

I have created a scoped application and stored values in 2 folders (like category & subcategory). And in the catalog item i created those fields and marked the field type as 'lookup selectbox'. But the choices looks empty when i try to raise the request in the portal. When i use the field type as 'selectbox' choices are available to select. Any idea what is the issue behind this?

Sounds like a cross-scope application issue, perhaps? What table did you store your values on? Does you catalog item scope have read permissions to the table that is storing your values?

Thanks for your reply. Yes the table the users trying to access is under scoped application. 3 roles were created for that table, after removing that roles now the users are able to view the choice list but still its not available to select at the backend. 

I have added those roles to my profile, still it the choices not available.
