Hi,
I have one question about mapping CI or server to specific business application or application service.
If the server is being used as a development environment, where can we link it to be used as a business application or as a development application service?

Hi @Community Alums
My knowledge says, the environment is just a field on CI , you need to map to BA, and if you have a diferent BA for different env ( pratically not a case ) then map to Dev BA

Hi @Community Alums ,
The server should be mapped to the development application service which is then mapped to a business application. Basic, the Server is just iron - not a development environment itself.

To relate different CIs to each other (e.g., Application Service to Business Application, Server to Application, etc.), you need to use the CI relationship editor. When choosing a relationship type, use ServiceNow's Common Service Data Model (CSDM) as reference.
Here are some links to the relevant product documentation articles:
Common Service Data Model – conceptual model
There are also quite a lot of examples covered in the CSDM Example Series on YouTube. For instance:

CSDM Example Series: Shared Tech and Client Compute services
