If someone can provide an input on this scenario.
Often times we re-image computers, so nothing changes from a hardware stand point, however the software installed on the computers are wiped, including OS, hwoever the software installation does not remove the softwares when the re-imaged computer is back in the network. It only adds if any new software is added.
As a workaround I have developed a script /job that runs at 5am . If the computer is in In-Stock or pending repair state, wipe all software install, so when discovery runs softwares are imported back.
This is a workaround, but I'm looking for a better solution because in some cases if helpdesk forgets to change the state when the computer is under maintenance, the job wont run on this CI or in some cases the computer re-image is done within few hours and the state is changed back to installed.
