CMDB for Mainframe Batch jobs

Hi Team,
We are new to this CMDB part and there is a requirement to build CMDB for list of Mainframe Batch jobs.

While going thru the forum, we understand mainframe (zOS) Discovery is having limited functionality to capture the Batch job details.


Any other 3rd party products that will extract this data? Or we have to extract the jobs manually to build it?

Just wondering if anyone else built this kind of CMDB for Mainframe batch jobs and any sample fields to be captured.

Do we need to use only cmdb_ci_batch_job relevant data?
can't we add/customize additional columns to this?

Any direction is appreciated.

Hi Yogi,

You are correct.  Mainframe (and IBM Power / IBM i) systems are not fully supported by ServiceNow.  However, I have a solution for this:  https://www.precisely.com/product/precisely-ironstream/ironstream-for-servicenow

 

Batch jobs?  Yes.  Plus, many other aspects of IBM Z (mainframe) and IBM i.
