Configuration item field is not showing values in it on incidentt form?

Hi,

When i try to create a new incident, Configuration Item field is showing all the records. But configuration item field is not showing the records with existing incident. I got to know that its a OOB behavior. 

can anyone suggest on this issue

Baseline there is a reference qualifier to show CIs based on company. If your Incident doesn't have a company set, then no CIs will show.

Do we need to set company for incident or its based on callers company?

If I am creating new record configuration item field will display the records For existing record it's not showing the ci records
