Consuming Servicenow API from a purely React frontend webapp

Hi, I'm new to servicenow and I wonder if it's possible to build a pure React frontend webapp, only using servicenow as a backend (thinking of hitting the REST API etc) and whether there's any complicacies in implementing it that way.
