Contextual search for record producer not working?

I added the contextual search to the short description field on the "Report an Issue" record producer. I see it on the maintain items "try it "option when configuring the request but when I go on the service portal to try it for the end users view I don't see the related search with the KB's

 

Has anyone had this issue and if so what do i need to do ?

Hi @DevtoSME 

 

you need to perform 2 steps.

  1. Create a variable of type custom and select widget Contextual Search - Inline Results under type specifications.
  2. Create a new entry in Contextual Search > Record Producer Configuration and you can define which field in your record producer should return the contextual search results.
