Convert Normal change to Emergency Change.

Hi Guys,

Is is possible to change "Type" of change request (Normal to Emergency) i.e. when there is normal change request that is in work in progress state, A UI action should change the "Type" of existing change request from 'Normal' to 'Emergency'.

I believe first of all you should revert the state of change to new , then you can change the type of the change from normal to emergency via background script.

As when you revert the workflow restarts for the change as for emergency change.

I am not sure whether it works or not. But can try a POC.

Although best option is to create a new emergemcy change & cancel the normal change request.

We have not implemented that since it is not best practice. Sudhanshu suggested some solution. may be you can try that. Also, please let me know if you go through successful implementation.
