Converting an Issue Triage to an Issue in GRC - Guru needed please

When working with an issue triage record (IST) I have walked through the record and populated the Configuration Item.  When walking through the Analyze, Review and final Close Triage and then it creates and IPT record.  I'm not seeing the Configuration item being taken over from the IPT to the IST record.  There is a relationship between the IST to the IPT.  Is this something that is normal.  I added the configuration item to the IPT record but it's not filled in.

Sorry in advance I'm new to this module and trying to figure out for the team how to get the CI to go from the IST to the IPT record when it's converted to an issue.  I'm probably going to have to modify something to get that to happen but need confirmation please.
