Hi,

We have created some custom tables in our production instance. Does it fall under Runtime Platform License?

We did not created custom applications just some custom tables to store some data.

Hi Pallabi,

When it comes to licensing, I strongly recommend you reach out to your account team. Licensing policies posted here are always subject to change.

That being said, your best guideline for determining if you are impacted is to ask yourself"

Is this table supporting an existing process we've already purchased (incident, problem, a custom app we are already licensed for) or is it part of a new processes? If it is the former - for example you are just creating some rules to determine assignment groups, then no. It's not a new license. If it is a new incident management system for the legal department, then yes, you are likely going to impact your licensing.

I hope that helps. Again, reach out to your account team to understand the specifics of your situation.

Hi All,

Thanks for all the informations. We have created just some custom tables and one of the custom table extends Task. We didn't create any custom applications for those tables.

Pallabi

Hi Pallabi,

Thank you for the additional information. The fact that you extended task makes me even more suspicious that you may be in need of licenses. Again, please reach out to your ServiceNow account team to be certain.
