Dashboard drilldown shows different results

On a dashboard bar chart that shows the teams total task volume by date I noticed the drilldown results dont match.

In one example if you hover over the blue section it displays 262 open tasks although when you click on it to drilldown it only shows 53. There are multiple ones that have this same issue but not all of them.  

Any ideas on how I could fix this?

Permissions and ACLs: The drill-down report might be influenced by access control rules (ACLs) that restrict the records visible to you. Ensure the permissions for viewing records are the same for both the bar chart and the drill-down data.

Have you seen in the list of records if it's stated that some have been filtered out due to restriction?
