We are moving to ESC from SP/KB and need to inactivate and redirect both portals to ESC. SP works fine, it is inactive and redirects to ESC with no issues. However the KB portal is not redirecting at all even though it is inactive and the alternate portal is set to ESC. When I put /kb as the end of the url, it refreshes into /kb/.
This works fine in my PDI but in our clients instance, it is not working out. Where can I look for the issue? So far I have checked page routing maps, spentrypage just in case, logs.. I have not been able to find anything that sticks out.

Figured it out. They have a content site that has URL suffix of kb and a portal record that has a url suffix of kb. Somehow. I was almost giving up but then tried to mess with the suffix and it gave me an error saying it already existed when I was trying to set it back to kb. Then I understood.... 🙂

ahoy @Daria6,
can you confirm it has the redirection set as per similar example below?
It works ok in my PDI as well, so if you have the KB inactive and inserted Alternate portal, then you might want to check the access permissions for the persons (is it for all the users or some?) and if it is configured that way and still doesn't work, you shall create a case from the Support Portal
Where the rules are real, you'll find me

Hi @Daria6
Set the value for the KB Home Page to the page you want .
refer KB: KB0957233 Knowledge portal redirecting to Portal login page instead of SSO Login
KB1208300 Fix knowledge articles not redirecting to the kb_article page
KB0859701 Link to KB article redirects to a portal login page instead of the desired KB
KB0864213 Knowledge Breadcrumbs does not redirect to the correct page
