Default Date Format?

Hello,

The current Date format defined is "YYYY-MM-DD". But there are users who prefer different format other than the defined one. Is there a way where we can define the date format to be based on the format define for the user in the system?

For Eg: If the Date format defined for A user is DD-MM-YYYY then it should display the date in this format. Similarly, if User B has date format defined as MM-DD-YYYY then the date should be displayed in defined format.

Any leads will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Shoeb,

If you want different different time formats for 2 different profiles then you can go to Profile A  under Self Service --> My Profile and Under Date format select  DD-MM-YYYY   and save  and in same way you can go to Profile B and set the date format as YYYY-MM-DD  and save.

So now once both are set then if you login via Profile A then all the dates will show in A's preference format and if you login via Profile B then all the dates in B's preference.

Incase of Doubt check this

Thanks for the reply.

We don't want to define any format here. The Date should be displayed based on the users defined Date format.

Currently,  the Date field is defined with YYYY-MM-DD format. When user try entering date in other format it gives error. Even if we make changes in the user profile it will show them error because they must be needed to match with the Default one.
