Dependent Field

 Reference column in the table, and there is also a value of the dependent. In this case, does the value entering the column need to be in the table described in the value of the dependent to be stored? Please tell me how to use the dependent.

 

To be more precise, the column Location is a reference type, and it's dependent the company. When saving a value to a location, it checks the value coming from the script. I'd like to know what kind of impact the dependent have in the process.

The Dependent field on a dictionary entry is only valid for string/choice type fields - I'm not sure why there's not an OOB UI Policy to hide it for other field types.  If you want to make Location dependent on Company you can do that with a reference qualifier like this on the Location field:
