Difference in vendor and developer instances.

Hi , 

I have developed a app to be published in servicenow store. I have developed the app in a developer instance and handled some cases according to the values present in developer instance. But when installed the my app in vendor instance , there is differences in values present in vendor and developer instances.

Ex : The choice list for state field in incident table changes for vendor and developer instances. I can understand that the list values are editable. But , will the default value change ? What will be default values for a customer instance ?
