different themes per instance in UI16

HI all,

Has anyone set a default theme per instance in UI16? Rather, can we set a specific color to distinguish when we are in a different instance? Much like UI15 allows a different banner color in DEV and PROD.

Hi James,

Yes, you can, and should do this to better discern which instance you are using and avoid making changes in the wrong instance. You can do this on a user-by-user basis by picking a theme (my preference is blue for dev instances and default for production instances, but that's up to you.)

You can configure the banner and what not by following these instructions.

Question: Is this only per person? Can I change it as a system default? I've changed the header background color and saved the setting but every time I reload my browser the color I set doesn't stick. Other users don't see the change either

If you set something like the banner color via the Basic configuration screen, it will be persistent across themes. Here I've set the blue banner color and changed my theme to DarkNow.
