different themes per instance in UI16

HI all,

Has anyone set a default theme per instance in UI16? Rather, can we set a specific color to distinguish when we are in a different instance? Much like UI15 allows a different banner color in DEV and PROD.

Hi James,

Yes, you can, and should do this to better discern which instance you are using and avoid making changes in the wrong instance. You can do this on a user-by-user basis by picking a theme (my preference is blue for dev instances and default for production instances, but that's up to you.)

Thats odd, I've done the exact same thing (only with red) and every time I leave the page it defaults back to the system color. Other users in our DEV instance can't see the change either.

It seems to stay only for the "System" theme, which is the default. If you use any other theme, a refresh blows away the colors. So the case would be to set your basic config to something appropriate for each instance (e.g. one green, one blue, one red). If someone wants to use Blimey on all their systems, they do so at their own risk.

Thanks Chuck. If I'm understanding you correctly, You're saying to have a different theme per instance instead of only changing the header color? For example blimey for PROD Dark NOW for PRE-PROD and clean for DEV?
