discover source field is still empty

expected that when discovery runs and initially creates a record in any of the cmdb tables , the discovery source populated with servicenow as value. Sometimes its empty . Has anyone come across this in Sandiego.

Not sure for whicH specific table you are facing the issue.

I would insist you to check  this thread if the class were the issue is coming is "cmdb_ci_spkg"

Else better check this link as reference and think about updating source as given in this Support thread
