Discovery Error need to know why

Why we are getting the below error on some devices in Discovery? 


- MID Server mid.server.MIDPROD02 is not a suitable MID because it does not have the following capabilities [{Capability: Nmap, value: null}]

@Joshua Comeau Looks like the MID server is unable to perform NMAP from the respective MID server, please see the product documentation below to install NMAP

Hi Joshua,

I feel this is something related to connectivity.

NMAP is credential less port scanning protocol and based on the ports response it identifies what kind of device it is.

I think it is trying to scan the device using NMAP as MID server doesn't have access to any credentials.

I would recommend, try reinstalling the MID server, or check for the right set of permissions on the machine where the MID server is installed.
