Discovery - Trouble discovering Fortinet APs, need advice

Sysop

Trying to run Discovery on our Fortinet APs but I'm having trouble. The Discovery doesn't seem to be receiving much info from the device.  Did an SNMP credential test against the device and that was successful.  Here is some logs below.  Any help is appreciated.

The Device results of the Discovery.

Here is the Discovery log

And the ECC Queue

Horizontal log is showing ports 161 & 162 (SNMP) are closedfind_real_file.png

Shazzam probe shows it's open

What are my next steps in troubleshooting this?

Hi, do you have discovery patterns installed from Store? Also, if access points are managed centrally by the integrated WLAN controller, instead of discovering individual wAP you can try to discover the controller itself. See support article.

Hope it helps.

Hi @Sysop - curious if you were able to figure this out. We see and are using a Cisco WAP pattern but not seeing one for Fortinet WAPs. Thanks.

Hi Susan, were you able to find solution for this

Kuljeet

Hi @Kuljeet1 - Yes, we created a new Discovery pattern for this. I have attached a TXT file containing the pattern that was created. There are also a couple of SNMP MIB files which I think you can get from Fortinet. Sorry, but I'm not familiar with all the details.
