Hi,
I have a reference field where user search for client id and select the right one. However when user select the right id it displays the client name not the the id. how can I force it to display the id# only? Please see images below (first one when user searches and you can see the id , second one after user hits enter it shows the name not the ID#)

You can the change the display value of the table referenced in the field by setting 'Display' attribute for client name to true.
Navigate to Table list view->configure->table-> go to columns and change display value to true for client name and make display value false for client id
Please proceed with caution as this is a platform wide change that is going to affect in the native view and also impact display for other reference fields for the table elsewhere in the system
