Does ServiceNow have any backup tools?

hello.
Currently, we take XML etc. as a backup when updating the data etc. of the production instance.
This does not seem to be the original backup method.
Does ServiceNow have internal or external tools for backup?

Thank you.

If you're not sure if an update will cause issues importing data, do it on non-prod first. That's an extra security measure. In case anything does goes wrong, ServiceNow is able to put back a backup very close the the point where you created the issue (to the minute, I believe), but that's not accessible by customers and should be disaster recovery and not be used to 'just do some updates'.

XML is you best way to do this for data. ServiceNow backups are there 'just in case' and only for them to use.

Hi,

Unfortunately we do not have an option for On demand backup for any instance including PROD.

Go through below article for more details:

Backup Request for PROD

Hi Aman Kumar.
Thank you very much for your answer.
Does the lack of on-demand backup options mean that there are no per-table backup options?
If I want to back up each table, is that possible?

Thank you.
Ro

No, SN doesn't facilitate it.

SN takes the mirror image of your backup regularly in the day and if you have certain failures or interruptions, then only a HI ticket can be raised to restore the records.

If you want something like, can SN take a backup of all incidents and its related record, then the answer would be No

Can you tell a bit more about what you mean or do with "updating the data"? That might help us better understand your question and giving a more correct answer.
