We are asked to change class of some of Linux devices from ip switch to storage devices. If we do so duplicate CIs are created in the next discovery run. How to make sure not to create duplicate CIs even some of the fields are updated ?
Firstly, check the IRE Rule of IP Switch and Storage Devices configured in your instance, make sure that discovery is brining all the required field values used in the IRE of Storage Devices, if not then troubleshoot this issue.
