Duplicate error message

Hi All,

I have a variable which needs to be mandatory on Requested item.

I have written a UI policy to be applicable only on requested item, and made field mandatory. I do not have any other client scripts or UI policies. I did not make field mandatory at field level.

But, when I click save on the requested item, i get error message but field name is displayed twice.

Hi,

Unfortunately, you aren't showing the variables section so that we can see what's going on there. I see where you bolded and mentioned the no other client scripts or UI policies...but...either it's 1) it is a client/data/or UI policy...or....2) the variable is all jacked up/glitched...

So if you're confident with #1 not being it...then I would recommend looking in to deleting the variable back on the form cat item, adding it back, perhaps with a different name (not question, but name) and then go back in to your UI policy that you had for it previously, setting it to the new field, looking that over, (making sure it's only checked for RITM and not the cat item or task) and seeing if this error repeats.

Check if any of your Client Scripts/UI policies configured on the catalog item are selected with Applies to Catalog Tasks and Applies on Requested Items.

Prateek, you've basically been copying my responses on several threads or at least it appears that way. Let's all work together to help the community and try offering another solution that's different than mine.

So this thread is one of several, here's another: https://community.servicenow.com/community?id=community_question&sys_id=ae63c17ddb3fabc01cd8a345ca96... you come by hours and hours later and then copy what I'm saying.

Please stop.

Thanks!
