Embed Iframe in a catalog item form

I wanted to embed an external web page which is basically a page built in .net application as an iframe in the bottom of the catalog form, catalog task form.  I tried to create a UI page and map it to a UI page variable created under the catalog item. The webpage i have configured in the UI page html is loading when i try it from the UI page screen.  
But in the catalog form, it is not visible or showing up.  When i checked in the catalog documentation, i came to know the UI page variable is not supported in portals.  Is there any other way to embed the page as iframe in the catalog form?

Hey there.. Found this question as I was looking for the same thing.

Seems like the iframe gets generated but when saving it removes it.

 

Here's a screenshot of before I save it, when I have the iframe active. After save it's gone... 😞

So, as far as I know, there's not a way still for doing this in New York.
Whish I could give you an answer on how to do it but unfortunetly not.Would be nice to have though.
