Hi All,
I have requirement to display an error message on the top of the expired KB article page if the user searches that article via Self-Service -> Knowledge -> KB -> Article
How can we achieve that?
We already have an error message display on the expired KB form on the ITIL view but I am not sure how to achieve on the self-service page.
Attached it is the screenshot for your reference.

Changes to this legacy view won't be easy, but the question really is why you customized this. Expired/non valid articles aren't searchable/readable for end users OOB, specifically for this reason. If the knowledge is managed properly, this shouldn't be necessary. You are providing end users with possibly wrong information. A warning will just get them confused/annoyed, because they are looking for something, find it and are told that it's not correct.
If it's about articles that contain information that is not changing much, just set the valid date to 2030. And get your knowledge managers to do their job. Don't try to solve people issues with technology. That's never a good idea. Your end users will be thankful if you would only provide them with accurate information.
