Excel file is empty

I watched and read about how to do the import sets and I tried it perform it well but i am just wondering but how about if the excel file is empty and i noticed it still insert to the target table. Is there anyway that you can import set and able to detect that the excel uploaded is blank and will not add to the target table and give message that uploaded excel is blank? If yes? How can I achieve that?

Hello,

How are you importing the data?

Are you directly downloading the excel in the data source and running the import set?

If the above is yes I do not think there is any way you can stop the import from running.

But keep this field on the Transform map unchecked so that empty field does snot update the value in table

No we cannot.

When we use manual load data on data source we will not be able to stop it from processing as per my understanding.
