External User Not Authorized | Analytics Hub

I'm using my PDI to try creating Dashboards and widgets with Performance Analytics. I'm using the System Administrator profile and I do have the roles pa_admin assigned to me. However, when I click on any widget to go to the Analytics Hub it gives me an error message stating "External User Not Authorized".

Does anybody know why this is occuring? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Ashley,

The error message "External User Not Authorized" typically occurs when the user does not have the necessary roles or permissions to access the Performance Analytics Hub. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Check your roles: Ensure that your user account has the "pa_admin" role assigned. To verify this, navigate to User Administration > Users and search for your user record. Under the "Roles" related list, confirm that "pa_admin" is listed.

  2. Check your permissions: Verify that you have the necessary permissions to access the Performance Analytics Hub. Go to Performance Analytics > Administration > General and ensure that the "Enable Performance Analytics Hub" option is enabled. If it is, check the "pa_hub_user" role under the "Roles" related list and confirm that your user account is listed.

  3. Check the widget configuration: If the error only occurs when clicking on a specific widget, check the widget configuration to ensure that it is set up correctly. Ensure that the widget is associated with a valid Performance Analytics indicator or breakdown element and that the widget permissions are set up correctly.

  4. Clear your browser cache: Clear your browser cache and try accessing the Performance Analytics Hub again.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to re-instate the instance (clean copy) or try on new instance  to investigate the issue further.

I am having the same issue. The above responses did not help me. Are there any other solutions?
