Flow Designer Run As System User but executing as Catalog Item requester

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with a Flow Designer flow triggered when a Catalog Item is submitted.

I have configured Run As = System User, but the flow still appears to execute as the user who submitted the Catalog Item, resulting in:

   The requested flow operation was prohibited by security rules.

I found the following in the Flow logs:

   Debug: Cloning a new session to run as user id: [user sys_id] from original user session: [system]

Has anyone faced this behavior? What could be causing the flow to switch from the System session to the submitting user even though Run As = System User is configured?

Thanks.

@Shaik Dimple

are you calling any subflow within that and that subflow has Run as User who initiated?

was this working fine earlier and started throwing issue after some upgrade etc?
