Error when commit a Updated Set, " Could not find a record in sys_hub_category for column category referenced in this update"

This means that one of your flow designer actions has its category field empty or set to a value that doesn’t exist on the target instance (since the category is a reference to the sys_hub_category table and the update set is referencing a sys_id that is not present).....so make sure you open the flow action....assign a valid category before capturing it in the update set......include that category record in the update set or create it manually in the target instance.....and then preview/commit again to resolve the issue.....

Below three simple step should fix your issue.

 

  • Leaving the Flow Action Category empty can cause update set preview errors. Make sure it is filled with some value.
  • Assigning a valid category and republishing the Flow Action resolves the issue.
  • After updating, republish the Flow Action and reactivate the Flow for clean version alignment.

if you haven't created any flow category during flow creation, then accept the remote update and Commit that update set.
