Form layouts are not captured in update sets

I created a update set with modifying formlayout just added watch list and worknotes list to the form in dev env.

when we moved the update set to test i cannot see the watchlist and worknotes list on my form......can someone help me out with this......

Form layout is captured in traditional update sets unless you changed something somewhere.

so when i move update set to   the new instance all changes (form layout) should be happen on new instance right?

i just added watch list and work notes list to work order task in dev on one update set and moved it to test..

If you open a form and make an update to it, go to your current update set and look at the most recent update and it will be form layout.

Did you have that captured in the correct update set?   With it being hidden now, sometimes it's easy to lose track of the one you are in

Most times when I cannot add form layout it's because the layout's application and update set application are not the same - regardless whether you have the your update set current; so you may have to change you current application and create the update set with the same application, then change the layout for it to be captured in your current update set.

If you're using the popular community utility 'add update set' and you can find where layout is stored, you don't have play games with the current app - the utility will create a batch to handle different apps in an update set.
