Formatters: Can anyone tell me where I might find the XML files that are referenced in Formatters?

Example: activity.xml ... approval_summarizer_master.xml

Where the heck are these things?

They are in the source code so you won't be able to get access to them. We have been gradually moving some of these files from the source code to ui pages and macros, but there's no official project or time line and some files will probably never get moved.

Does that mean if I wish to create a summarizer (say, for the sc_request table) that I won't be able to make that happen without one of the supporting XML files?

My users want to be able to "hover" over a REQUEST (icon) and display all of the associated sc_req_items that belong to that request .. I can't figure out how to give them what they need ..

Sorry.  I know this post is old but I just had to log in and correct this with a more recent update.  

The activity summarizer and others are in UI Macros:
