Hello all,
i am struggling with the adjustment of the global search. It is possible to search requested items by the number, but we are also using a correlation ID for some records, which is impossible to find in the global search.
Here an example of how the form looks like:
the correlation ID is on the task table.
I have tried following steps:
- add a new search group for only requested items
- created a new search source together with a new config search source (2m_search_context_config_search_source.list)
- i followed all steps in this link: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/washingtondc-platform-administration/page/administer/search-admin...
In the search group table exists an entry called "task", which contains all task tables, including task and requested items. Now what i find strange is, that also when i deactivate the "task" entry it is still possible to search and find tasks in the global search. The same is in my PDI.
We are using QuickStart, which is making it difficult to do a lot of adjustments in the instance. Could this be the problem here? Although the deactivating of this "task" entry is also not bringing any change in my PDI, but in the PDI it is possible to find requested items by their correlation ID.
Could you please help me or point me to where i can expand my research?
Thank you all in advance!
