Globally Scoped Apps and Delegated Developers

Hey y'all! I'm working on modifying some pre-existing citizen development we have on our platform. Our citizens are given the delegated_developer role and assigned to scopes as usual.

We have some globally scoped applications that should be restricted to certain citizen teams, but it looks like all of the citizens can see every global app. Additionally, I don't have the "Manage developers" UI action available on global apps.

Is delegated development for global apps not something that is currently supported?

You are correct.  The delegated developer feature only works with true scoped apps.  Without the scope, you can't use the feature for Global "apps" (without lots of pain and suffering, do not go down that road). 

You would be better off creating a new scope for your app and then doing an Insert and Stay on all of the Global files so that they are copied into your new scope.  Then you could leverage the delegated developer feature in the new scope.
