Grayed out field is still existing in Servicenow

Hi All,

I created an Import Set table with the name X, and even though i have deleted the record with the label X , name X cannot be deleted and once i add the same file , it gives an error '' the name is already existing and use a new one'' however I am on training now and I need the exact name to pass the micro certification. Could you please help me to get rid it off? 🙂

Is there a reason why you can't reuse the table with the same name?

If possible, I would recommend reusing what's already there.

 

If you must delete the table, you can do the following:

  • Navigate to System Definition > Tables
  • JamesChun_1-1717617895273.png
  • Filter the Name column with your table name (i.e. u_hrbp_server_team)
  • JamesChun_2-1717617952565.png
  • Open the record in the list
  • Select the Delete button on the top right corner and enter delete to proceed with the deletion

Are you saying you managed to delete the X column or not?

And what was the procedure you took to delete it?

Thank you for your answer and sorry for my late answer. Please see the screenshot. I receive a warning that name is already existing and I would like to get rid of that name to not to see anymore same warning. It is for micro certification test and I need to have the same naming but it does not allow me to go further. Do you maybe somehow know how to delete the name where grayed out on servicenow?

 I tried to use the same naming however it did not work for me and did not see the attachment that I uploaded into system. But anyways, deletion option worked for me .Thank you very much for information. 🙂
