Group Notification not working for only one member of that group

Hi,

There is a email notification to send the mail to the group members whenever a new task is assigned to it. (Request task assigned to group)

All the group members are receiving the mail whenever a new task is assigned to that group but only one person is not getting the mail.

I checked the notification preferences. 'Request task assigned to group' is turned ON for primary mail.

Additional info : There is also other mobile device and the notification is turned off for that mobile device.

Can anyone help me???

I recently went to an admin course where they covered this kind of issue. The first to things to check would be:

a) Ensure the user has a valid email address on their account (obvious I know), and that the Notifications field is set to Enabled.

b) Open the notification record and ensure that the "Send to event creator" field is checked, as this is only intended for testing.

If you open the mails log, can you see an entry for the user that is being set to send-ignored?

the first thing i would do is look at the outgoing email attached to the ticket and verify he is listed there.. and the email address it is using is correct...

if he isn't on the list then i would check the template to ensure there is nothing preventing adding him <send to user etc>

if that fails or he is listed but has the wrong email address you can then check the notification devices

if he is listed and has the correct email address listed... i would involve messaging to see if the email was delivered to him and if so to where phone outlook mailbox etc.

I am not sure how much control you allow your users to modify their notifications rules.   I think you checked this but did the user turn off the notifications for this event.   You can make the notification permanent where they cannot disable them.   Also they could have edited the notification to themselves to only send on certain parameters.   You would open up the notification rule under the users record to see this.

Thank you so much, Mark! I did not realize that users could add their own conditions to notifications, and this was our problem exactly!
