Group sys_id Issue across environments

Hello Every one,

 

I have approval group been using in workflow. I configured group sys_id in sys_properties. It is working fine in dev instance.
When i move the changes to test environmnet sys_id is moved and i export the group from dev and imported to test environmnet. When i imported to test, group sys_id is not matching with dev group sys_id.
I am going and configure the sys_id manually in sys_properties in all environmnets.

It is not best practice to use different sys_id in environment to environment.

Please give an inputs how to get same group sys_id in across all environmnets?

My organization allowing to import excel file not xml.

Hi @Kanna12 when your importing excel file, it will give you different sys id which is causing the issues, The best practice is to run a scheduled import sets which will retrieve all the groups from PROD to lower instance.
