HAM Query for Incidents

Would it be possible to create a 'task' type update requirement for hardware replacements that could be triggered when a device fails and is reported in an incident, then is replaced with another device?

I'm looking for some type of similar functionality or solution to that available in requests where depending on the catalog item we include a task to update the CMDB to reflect any hardware updates - i.e. device refresh meaning original asset has moved say to awaiting disposal and new asset is in use.

 

If anyone has any suggestions on how to proceed, please share the steps.

Depending on how you are licensed, you can use several tables, but did you check on the certification tasks?

If you have HAM  you should have option to swap the asset. It's called Asset action.
