Hide the approvals that are no longer required in the approvers related list

I have a question on hiding the approvals that are no longer required in the Approvers related list to be hidden. How can we achieve that?

In all cases?  I would think you would use the List Control and use the Edit default filter as needed.

Set the filter and then click on set as default filter, and if you do not user to change it, check omit filter on list control (or you add roles on who can see filter )
