Hint Label Displaying Incorrectly

I have a reference field and it has the "Hint" field set on its label.. Based on the value chosen in the dropdown, its value is enabled and made mandatory,,

The Help text on the label behaves differently.. If i hover over the mouse over the "text", it displays the help text correctly but if i hover it over the asterisk, it displays as "Read only field - cannot be modified"

P.S : I m using hint field in the "Configure label" part... i m using the word "Help" and "Hint" interchangeably.. Dont mistake

If it is a bug in the platform that has been fixed in subsequent releases, there's not much you can do short of an upgrade. This seems like a low-priority to upgrade, but something to worth checking after the upgrade is done.

I know it's not the answer you were looking for, but it is an answer by validating it's not you or your configuration settings.

interesting Kailash.

What release of ServiceNow are you using? I tried this on Istanbul patch 1, filled in just the Hint, and it works the same whether on the label or the asterisk.

I m on Fuji Release.. I have another field in my form which works perfectly fine.. Problem is with couple of fields alone.. I m thinking of deleting the fields and adding it again but before that would like to know , "Is there something which we could fix it"

Can you share screenshots of your field label definitions? I can try to reproduce it in Fuji.

FWIW, Fuji is no longer covered under support. Hopefully there is an upgrade in your near future.
