how are the related lists (affected CIs & Impacted services) in change and incident calculated

Hello,

I want to understand how the impacted services, affected CIs related list are calculated in change and incident.

Does impacted services get populated based on all of the CIs listed in the Affected CIs related list? how many layers of Service dependencies are populated? only direct application service dependencies? or do the application services that depend on "direct" application services also get populated?

Hi @dheeraj_t96

In the "Affected CIs" tab, you document the configuration items (CIs) that you intend to modify during the implementation of the change. The "Impacted CIs" tab is populated with the CIs or services that may be affected as a consequence of the changes made to the CIs listed in the "Affected CIs" tab.
