I have a requirement to auto populate the Manufacturer field on a new Hardware Model record when it is being created from the Model ID pop-up window on the CI form.
Currently the Model ID field uses the OOB reference qualifier "Manufacturer is same as Manufacturer" so that it can filter records to only those related to the Manufacturer defined on the CI form. However, the users want the manufacturer to be auto populated when they click "New" from that pop-up list.
From what I understand, the auto populate based on a filter only works with an =, such as Manufacturer=X. Are there other ways to work around this?
