At the top of any Task, you can Follow the record in Connect, but I'm missing out on how to get some key information.
1) How can I (itil_user) see the current list of Followers? (Is my boss or SME aware this is happening?)
2) How can I (itil_user) add someone to the current list of Followers? (add my boss or SME to awareness list)
I'm HOPING it's as easy as "Form Layout" and I missed something obvious. I'm interested i seeing this information in a view.
I know that I can do these functions within the Connect client (see and add), but I do not feel like opening the client every time I want to see that information that should be associated with the record. Is it a related-list?

Hello Justin,
Here is an article on how to locate any record in a table.
SN Pro Tips — Locate any record in any table, by sys_id in ServiceNow
Have you tried duplicating their access to you in order to see the records Followers? Here is an article on it.
SN Pro Tips — Easily Clone One User's Access to Another User
I hope I may help in some way.
Good luck!
Amber

Here's what happens when you click that button.
Following is tied in with Live Feed. In a sense, you are joining a group specific for that document.
It creates a Live Group Profile [live_group_profile] record if one does not exist for that record. It then creates a list of Live Group Members [live_group_member] of those who are following.
As an example:

Helpful. And seems to solidify the idea that it's not easily possible, or just not fully implemented. It seems the tables and structure are there, just not all the security rules and workflows required.
If I can view the Live Group original Document ID (reference), then I should be able to see the members who are following the Document ID. It feels like the whole Connect app was an acquisition into the product. Just has a look and feel that's different. I like it, but it seems like a step or two ahead of the UI for everything else.
I appreciate the help, but it seems to require a kludgy modification to an out-of-the-box function. Feature request for Istanbul?
