How can I import data to question choice?

Dear experts,

This is a bit complicated, as I am required to create a new variable with employee titles with a drop-down choice. . 

there are 480 choices listed in the excel file.  

My question is how can i import that excel file into question? 

2nd question is 

in the old Variable for a different catalog item, the Title already exist, however, I am not sure how to get to that list to my current variable. 

Please help, either option would work if only if this is possible. Appreciated ----- THANK YOU

You cannot use the existing choices.

The only way is to import set and transform maps

You can set up your second variable as a "Lookup Select Box" and then in the Type Specification, set 'Lookup from Table' = Question Choice, 'Lookup value field'=Value, 'Lookup label field' = text (case-sensitive).  Then in your Reference qual set question=<sysid of question you are referencing>.
