We have a custom application published in ServiceNow store. We have a vendor instance through which we are developing the application. For testing the application in different ServiceNow versions, we use PDI instances; by, first creating update set from our Vendor instance and importing the update set in PDIs.
However this is not really allowing us to test the same workflow that our customers go through, which installing the application directly from the Store.
What I would like to do is,
- Publish the app to ServiceNow store
- Create test instances (I don't know if it is even possible to create) of different ServiceNow versions
- Install the app from ServiceNow store.
When I am trying to install to our another Vendor instance, I need to login to store using my company email id account, - the store says "This app belongs to your company, no purchase action is enabled." I tried to create another ServiceNow account not using company email id, then I can't get passed through the login to store itself.
So my question is, is it possible to create some test instances in and install the app from Store directly and verify it works for our customers.
I am thinking this because, recently one of our customer wasn't able to install the app from store, due to it had a deprecated plugin dependency, we have since removed that deprecated plugin dependency, and wanted to see exactly the customer experience in installing the app.

Hi @GuruprasadB
It is not possible to simulate store download experience. Alternatively, you can publish your application to the Application Repository from the vendor instance and try installing it on different instances available within your organization which share this repository to check application compatibility across different instances. Refer https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/xanadu-application-development/page/build/applications/task/t_Pub...

Hi @GuruprasadB
I am not 100% sure, but you can ask SN to get another instance which you can use onlu this this purpose or upgrades.

Another possible way is when you approach ServiceNow for recertification process, you can ask them to provide you certification (cert) instances so that you can test application compatibility.
